Fundraising

Each year at K-A-T-S we nominate a charity organisation to raise funds for throughout the year.

This year the members were asked to vote on their favourite canine or animal charity.

This years chosen charity will be

The only specialist national charity for people in their last years and their much loved, much needed companion animals.

A network of 8,000 volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. We keep them together - for example, we’ll walk a dog every day for a housebound owner, we’ll foster pets when owners need hospital care, we’ll fetch the cat food, or even clean out the bird cage, etc.

When staying at home is no longer an option, our Pet Friendly Care Homes Register lists residential/nursing homes happy to accept residents with pets. And when a pet is bereaved we take on full time, life time care.

The Cinnamon Trust - Peace of mind for owners, love, care and safety for beloved pets. But helping 10,000 people a year with 12,000 animals and running two home from home sanctuaries costs - We need your help to make sure we’re always there.

What does the Cinnamon Trust do?

woman with black catThe Trust’s primary objective is to respect and preserve the treasured relationship between owners and their pets. To this end it works in partnership with owners to overcome any difficulties that might arise. A national network of over 10,000 community service volunteers has been established to provide practical help when any aspect of day to day care poses a problem - for example, walking the dog for a housebound owner. A national fostering service is provided for pets whose owners face a spell in hospital - volunteers take pets into their own homes and supply love and care in abundance until owner and pet can be reunited.

Cinnamon Trust also provides long term care for pets whose owners have died or moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets. Arrangements are made between owners and the Trust well in advance, if possible, so owners do have peace of mind in the knowledge that their beloved companion will have a safe and happy future. Emergency cards are available on request.
When a pet is in the Trust’s care either short term or long term because the owner is in care, the owner is kept in touch with visits, if possible, or regular photos and letters.

How can K-A-T-S help?

We raise funds by organising raffles and tom-bolas at our many club social events. We also take along our charity box to our many demonstrations that we attend each year.

We raised in excess of £800 last year for the M.S Society.

Lets see if we can achieve the same for the Cinnamon trust.

Your fundraising ideas are always welcome.
